About me

My name is Noelle Peters. I live a simple life with my husband and daughter in Columbia, SC. Born and raised in Texas, I'm coming to appreciate the East Coast and its charms. Our family loves taking weekend trips to Charleston or driving up to Asheville to breathe in some fresh mountain air. For me, little else compares to good conversation, good coffee, beautiful weather, and birth. (Admittedly, I spend most of my time indoors chasing around a toddler and sneaking sips of cold coffee.)

When I was a little girl my mother told me the story of my birth. I have been in awe of the birth process ever since. My pride in the inherent strength of women and my confidence in the normalcy of birth continue to grow to this day.

I completed my doula training in 2011 through DONA International and became more active as a doula this past year. I also volunteer at our local Pregnancy Center teaching Natural Childbirth Education. I have supported mothers during unmedicated deliveries both at home and in the hospital, during epidural analgesia, and cesarean birth. I believe that every birthing mother is unique and that thoughtful choices are the best choices.
